It is that time of year again.  Just as we feel the deepest effects of the winter blahs, Nick and Jessica Ortner and the Team at The Tapping Solution are offering a wide variety of presentations on the versatility and effectiveness of EFT / Tapping to improve our lives in so many ways.  Just in case you haven’t yet heard of Tapping, visiting the Tapping Solution website at  http://www.thetappingsolution.com/ is an excellent introduction to this remarkable technique.

Currently, the Tapping Solution Team is presenting The 8th annual Tapping World Summit, a cyber space gathering of more than half a million people that is free to anyone who signs up for it.  If you are ready to learn about the benefits of this Energy Psychology Tool as well as the variety of uses for EFT/Tapping and best practices concerning its use, this year’s summit is still available at  http://www.thetappingsolution.com/blog/2016-tapping-world-summit/.

The 2016 Tapping Summit began last Monday, but a few more programs are available, each a first step to learning about this technique’s versatility.  From anxiety reduction, to phobia clearing, to inner and outer conflict resolution, to confidence and well being boosters, learning to Tap may be the perfect physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual tune up, one that will bless you with remarkable energy and insights.  Among its many benefits, Tapping revives the Eternal Learner in each of us.  What a marvelous gift!

Until next week

The Dangers of Unexpressed Emotions

Sometimes, regardless of our efforts to resolve conflict lovingly and responsibly, we are unable to reach a peaceful resolution with the person or persons involved.  For those of us who have been schooled in homes where conflict is to be avoided at all cost, we run the risk of swallowing our emotions to avoid triggering responses we fear we will not be able to handle.  When we do so, we open the doors to physical illness because unexpressed emotions can and do play havoc in the bodymind system.  This is especially challenging when we engage with people who have not yet learned to accept their share of responsibility in the conflict or when we feel we must take care of others at the expense of our own emotional and physical health.  Tapping is particularly helpful in such situations, since it allows us to work through our part in the challenges while creating the space for others to step forward to do the same; in short, Tapping helps us to create healthy boundaries that honour others’ needs as well as our own.

St. Valentine’s Day is with us once again, and this year, the guy most deserving of LOVE on a colossal scale is the courageous, controversial, and persistently relevant US social critic, Michael Moore.  In the days after Bernie Sanders’ big win in the New Hampshire primary, American film goers have an opportunity to understand why the Democratic Socialist from Vermont has managed to put Hillary Clinton (dubbed the Democrat’s big money, establishment candidate) on the defensive.  Moore’s  latest film, Where to Invade Next, directly confronts what so many Bernie supporters believe is wrong in America: as long time Michael Moore supporter Jon Schwarz tells us, Michael Moore has put his finger on the heart of American discontent – our punitive school, workplace, economic, and criminal justice systems that assume “people are bad,” cannot be trusted with freedom, and must be threatened with punishment in order to be “good” citizens.  Happily, exciting alternative views are strong and growing stronger. Tapping for Early Medical Trauma

For anyone who has experienced a medical trauma early in life, a trip to the doctor triggers deep seated fears until the trauma is addressed.  Until healing begins, a simple annual physical exam becomes a reminder of the earlier trauma, often through physical responses such as anxiety and dread that make no logical sense at all.  In truth, logic is rarely present during situations that frighten us.  At these times, it is the body that reacts to whatever the medical trauma might be, these reactions laying dormant in the physical systems until life presents us with circumstances that activate them, and activation is the portal to healing.  Fortunately, as we pursue our healing course, Tapping can help to calm anxiety that comes with otherwise neutral circumstances, and it can also help us to gain insight into why we feel as we do and so release these terrors.
